FOTBOT Welcomes new branch opening

in Bath

Away from the hustle and bustle of the ‘Big Smoke’ lies the sleepy, cobbled, sandstone, regency streets of Bath. And between Friday the 21st to Sunday the 23rd of March she saw our newly appointed Events Co-ordinator, Sara Fazal’s, first official organised FOTBOT weekend.

An initial drinks reception at the majestic Royal Hotel was aptly followed by a night out on the town spreading the news of FOTBOT to the wonderful people of Bath. Saturday itself saw the main day of the weekend’s event, where an open bus tour was greatly enjoyed by many whilst bathed in glorious March sunshine. Following a touching rendition of Handel’s Hallelujah Chorus in the Abbey and a quick peek into the historic Roman Baths, the group dispersed in preparation for the inductionary dinner at the beautiful Eastern Eye Indian Restaurant. Needless to say the dinner was a roaring success! Many Bathonians were introduced to the committee and in return introduced much of the Committee (yet again) to the splendid nightlife of Bath!

In conclusion a heartfelt ‘well done’ to the endeavours of Miss Fazal. No doubt that this was the first in a long succession of successful events courtesy of out Events Co-ordinator, and we wish our newly formed branch in Bath all the best in years to come! If this weekend was any form of indication as to their future, I can only assume that it will be as longstanding and prosperous as the good old city herself.
